E-Ram – a few pedestrians and not a lot of traffic. Qalandya south – no soldiers no inspection at all. Qalandya north - inspection by 2 volunteers and a soldier. Only blue ID and orange ID with permits allowed to go in. A group of young Palestinians back from work were not allowed to go back to their homes in Aram (they have no permits). They explained us that the permits are given at Bet El or at the Russian Compound in Jerusalem, but they have no way to get there (without permits…). We gave them cards of the Moked – maybe they can be assisted by them.We went to Tora Bora and saw a few of the young Palestinians we met before at the checkpoint passing through. On our way back we saw a police car near the Neve Yaacov’s traffic lights, blocking the way to Aram and stopping transit vehicles. We approached the police car and saw a few border police holding down a young Palestinian. We were told by the commander to leave immediately or he would arrest us. They put the young Palestinian in the car – we had the chance to see that he had a blue ID. We contacted the Moked and tried to get some assistance from them. They replied that they can’t offer any help in case of an arrest. The police car (No. 32-306) with 6 soldiers and the Palestinian left the place right away.
