El Khadr – The area under closureinfo-icon. People could move (walking only) rather easily in and out, after being checked by the two Nachal (pioneer army unit) soldiers positioned there. Soldiers were not rude. They seemed to be unhappy and overwhelmed. At the end when we complimented them for their behavior, they asked about our organization and its website...Then we went to the car checkpoint, where a soldier decides which car can continue-to the right, and which needs to be checked-to the left. We were told by the soldiers that this decision is based merely on the looks of the car and its passengers.Bethlehem checkpoint - there were very little traffic and people.
