There is a new policy to take away transits from roads and replace them by buses going under IDF authorization. Six buses are active to bring people from the Nablus Gate to the Abu Dis wall and than another take people from the other side mainly to El Quds University. One of bus organizers (Palestinian) complained to us that IDF promised to take away all transits but did not keep its promise. He was surprised when we asked if transit drivers do not need to earn money. There was a very active movement of pedestrians through the wall. Transits were checked at the second gas station (about 2 km towards Jerusalem from the wall). We were told by locals that if wrong ID passenger is found in the transit, the transit is confiscated for 2 months as a punishment.
