Eight border policemen at the checkpoint and a long, long line of cars passing to both sides. At least one hour waiting time. Hundreds of people and school children passed. Abritrarily checking of orange/green ID's. Even those without permission passed according to the soldiers' mood. Around 08.00 a very big truck started to unload hugh concrete blocks on the middle of the road, to prevent cars from making U-turns. Soldiers' behaviour were quite correct. An elderly Palestinian couple with orange ID and without any passing permission asked to go to Augusta-Victoria-Hospital to visit their sick daughter who had an operation. The soldiers didn't let them through. We called the Hospital and let the Doctor talk to the commander, after which he let them through. We took the couple in their car to the Hospital.
