Six Border policeman, a trickle of pedestrian traffic and a mere drip of vehicle traffic. It was already after dark, and one detainee was held by the soldier's booth. We called the Moked (Center for the Defence of the Individual) who told spoke to the detainee in Arabic. He had tried to enter Israel "illegally", with a permit. The Moked TOLD US THAT THEY CANNOT HELP US IN CASES OF ILLEGAL ENTRY WHERE DETENTION TIME IS NOT EXCESSIVE. PLEASE NOTE THIS AND TRY TO AVOID CALLING THE MOKED UNLESS THE CASE IN QUESTION IS REALLY SEVERE (many hours of detention, injury, violence or abuse, a sick person etc.)
