Morning

   Natanya translating.

Summary. Everything is as usual. Our guest had a conversation with the soldier and the result was depressing. The fear, the lack of faith in the Palestinians and the hatred amongst the soldiers no matter what their political opinions are.

08.30 There are rolling checkpoints after the turn off to Nablus a little before Shave Shomron.  This is to stop the settlers.

08.45 Beit Iba.  No queues and 10 cars which take 10 – 15 minutes to pass.
In this wonderful building, which is taking form, the traders still have to open their parcels on the floor while the trucks go through without being checked.  At the entrance to Nablus no one is supposed to be checked according to what we are told by the DCO but the soldiers like to catch someone on their own initiative and do so,  especially the young men . Because people do not know who is going to be checked they wait in line.
09.25 Four cars at the exit and no queues of pedestrians.
