07:30 Shaked CP
There are a lot of people at the gate: students on their way to their studies, individuals and families on the way to Jenin, some to go shopping, and some to visit family. The soldiers do everything lazily. Six of them are standing and talking to one another and the traffic looks slow enough to make people angry. After about a quarter of an hour we see the equipment for coffee returned to a jeep and after another five minutes the soldiers who belong in it get into the jeep and leave. After the jeep leaves, the CP begins to move more quickly. People go through one by one, go up to the hut as if at a sign from on high. The boys allow the girls to go through before them. One of the adults signals to the students near him to accompany him ... the attempt was successful, and they went through together.
Those going through from Tura arrive with olive-picking equipment in their hands or on their heads. Near the gate, which has only one side of it open, there is a traffic 'jam' (a tractor, a taxi, 2 cars). After a few minutes the jam freed itself quietly with mutual greetings of good morning.
The taxi  passengers are angry because of the long wait. A soldier says to the driver: "You're angry? If you are legitimate, don't answer me!!" He points to some bags: "Take them out! Take them out!" He inspects every item in the bag. The shamed driver goes through.

When we arrived an older man accompanied by his sister met us. He told us that they have gone through and now they are waiting for his two sons that still have not come along. According to him, he has been waiting for 40 minutes already. After another few moments, one of the boys comes through. The second one is not allowed to go through. The father approaches the soldiers time after time and tries to find out why. One of the times he is driven away roughly (by one of the soldiers of the jeep). Later (08:10), a soldier yells at him: "You're still here?" The father goes in once again, shows a document, and comes out by himself.
08:15 The traffic from the direction of Tura is very thin. The second son is allowed to go through. What was the reason for the delay? Who can possibly know? We stopped to help with a ride. The adults came with us to the place where they asked to get off (near Dir el-Malek). The sons walked with the equipment.

In the upper parking lot there are 6 cars waiting for passengers. One of the restrooms is open. Apparently clean. The tap has been fixed (no drip), there is no soap and no toilet paper. We buy coffee. We go up the road of the sleeveinfo-icon. To the barking of the dogs, we count up the new things in the garden - new planters, new clay pots. The investment in the gardening is repulsive and makes us angry as does the entire CP.
Four cars are being inspected. The view: a dog and the soldier who 'operates' the dog. We've gotten used to it.
08:35 Those leaving the terminal are stressed and nervous. They are the first to leave. The gate was opened at 07:30. Inside? "Loads of people." The inspection rooms are full. The people leave quickly one by one, and as they go past they say, "crowded", the "people are like sardines", "lots of young people in the rooms" "I've been waiting for an hour!" Some had to take off their shirts, others did not.
08:50 On the way to the lower parking lot, a security guard does not allow us to pass until he was convinced to get in touch with the managers that we identified.
The Palestinian parking lot is completely empty. Walid has already left. A. waves goodbye as we drive away. Three drivers are sitting in a Transit. In Hut 15 there are piles of egg trays, about 5000 eggs have been piled there since Thursday or Friday.
09:15 We left.
