Afternoon

Habla, ‘Azzun, Za’atra Junction, Huwwara, Machsom Huwwara, Burin

13:30 - Agricultural Gate Habla - The gate is open. Few people are crossing. The topic of conversation is the heat. The sign with the operating hours of the gate is not there. I asked the soldier (girl) where is the sign, her answer was: "don't worry, they know". I told her that she didn't answer my question and then the other soldier (girl) said: "13:15 to 14:15". Later on I found out that the gate is also open between 18:15 and 19:15. Not many people are crossing. We assume it is because of the heat.

13:55 – ‘Azzun - The gate is open - cars and people cross in both directions

14:25 – Za’atra Junction –There is an exceptionally crowd: in the posts, in the tower and in the bus station (together with settlers who are waiting for the bus).

15:00 In the northern entrance to Huwwara stands an army jeep with 5 soldiers.

15:05 - Machsom Huwwara – there are soldiers in the tower but no soldiers in the checkpoints. It seems that cars are crossing.

15:10 - Burin - In a telephone conversation with Munir he told us that in Ramallah the army is checking each vehicle and its passengers. He said that in machsom Huwwara when it starts getting dark there are problems for people who are returning from work. In Burin itself nothing exceptional is going on.

15:25 - After Punduk in the square after the machsom to Qalqiliya there is a jeep with soldiers.

A concluding sentence: there was emphasized Israeli military presence.
