Afternoon

15:00 Barta'a checkpoint

We drove the sick child Allie with his mother from Rambam hospital to the Barta'a checkpoint (they are on their way to the Palestinian town Ya'abed). The security people have known the child for years and were aware of his condition, and allowed him to be driven to the Palestinian side where is father waited for them.

Traffic of workers appeared in order, slightly early today. No tension was detected.

15:40 Anin checkpoint

We thought we'd be late, due to the Rambam pickup, but the checkpoint was still open.

A man with a tractor is delayed inside the checkpoint. I ask the soldiers if the gate was opened on time and they said that they were 20 minutes late due to a change of shift. Finally permission to allow the delayed person to go through had arrived and he went home. I was told that he was denied passage by the security authorities and that caused the delays.

We also saw the closureinfo-icon of the gate and the soldiers' departure.

Tura-Shaked checkpoint

The place appears deserted. There were neither cars nor pedestrians.  Very hot . This checkpoint seems useless.
