Morning

Oranit, Huwwara, Awarta.

On the radio we hear reports about reinforcements  on the West Bank but we notice no change

07:50  Oranit. Gate 1447/1448 which is defined as an agricultural gate is open and people are being checked. The military policeman says the laptop needs to be repaired  so the people passing through just hand in their papers and start the long climb towards  Oranit and the field beyond the fence.

Like last time, the Israeli contractors are waiting for the workers at Oranit and only the Palestinian cars are driving down to the gate. We do not know why.

08:15  The Shomron Gate: The traffic is flowing.

08:30  Zatara/Tapuah: Border police are patrolling in the area. A police car is parked in the middle of the square. There is much traffic on the road up to Huwwara;  there seem to be no soldiers in Huwwara.

Itzhar/Burin: An army vehicle is parked at the checkpoint. The soldiers are talking to a young orthodox man.

08:45 Awarta: The yellow barrier is blocking the passage.

08:50 Huwwara: There is no guard in the watch tower.  Soldiers from the Home Front Command are watching the settlers' hitchhike station from above and from below.

Zatara/Tapuah: Border police stand at the hitchhike station on the opposite side of the road.

The Shomron Gate: The traffic is flowing.
