Afternoon

I drove a sick girl and her parents, residents of the village of Yamon, near Jenin, from Rambam hospital to the Jalama checkpoint. Since we rarely observe that checkpoint, I parked my car and watch for a while.

18:10

At this time the site is closed. Palestinians do not cross into Israel but there is passage of Palestinians into the West Bank. They cross through the turnstyle located at the side of the terminal. Passage went on until 19:00.

Those going to the West Bank arrive in the transportation of the daily workers. One of them says that if he is one minute late he is denied passage, and then he is  forced to make a huge detour to the Barta'a checkpoint. He recommends that we should visit at the morning hours, although things have improved significantly.

At the vehicles' inspection post, which serves Palestinians residents of Israel, there is no pressure at this time. A few cars waits before entering Israel and do so within a few minutes. I was unable to ask passengers,  were crossing fast, regarding an inspection method mentioned on the Web, using a thin pipe.
