Morning

6:40 Anin checkpoint

On the Israeli side, on the road to Mei-Ami, a few people are waiting for transportation following inspection. We waived at them and proceeded to the checkpoint.

Soldiers were in the process of locking up and we left.

06:50  Tura-Shaked checkpoint

Soldiers arrive and open up. Vehicles owners walk into the checkpoint for inspection and then return to their cars for another inspection. A daily ritual which wastes time for people who are in a hurry. Annoying. I think a random inspection is sufficient. The facial expression of those coming in from the West Bank says it – We've waited a long time, got up early….. and this happens at all times, says a young fellow.

Only the youngest on their way to school are playful. They cross without inspection except for the boy who had been delayed a week ago. Today he was supposed to go through inspection. I asked his father about the reason for that but he said angrily that he didn't know why.

7:45 Barta'a –Rihan checkpoint

-I've asked how are things to day and the answer was "all is ok, but on Saturday not good…. Great disorder."

I'm told that a youngster is being delayed. I was unable to find out the reason for that. I couldn't see him.

We meet a sick child accompanied by his father, and drive them to Rambam hospital.

08:10  We leave.
