He has been interrogated for 12 days and claims he has no idea why he is detained.

The police representative requests 11-day remand extension while Atty. Bargout asks for an extension until next Thursday. The judge asks the detainee how he is doing and is told that the detainee’s mother had an accident  (a herniated disc) and that Hamza takes care of her. Atty. Bargout asks to phone her to find out how she is doing, and the judge hands him his own cell phone (attorneys have to deposit their phones at the entrance) to call the mother. It turns out that she is doing well and the detainee is relieved.

The judge orders remand extension for 8 days.
