Morning

10:00-15:00

It’s now eleven years I’ve been coming to Hebron once a week (except for a seven month sabbatical in Australia).  Over the years we’ve grown dulled and accustomed to things and seen things and they no longer seem so bad…

Today, thanks to Assaf, thanks to new eyes seeing Hebron for the first time, all the horrors combined into one huge horror, but nothing happened.  It was even very quiet.

We wandered through all the roadblocks between Areas H1 and H2, spoke to women and the elderly and children…

We showed there’s a different kind of Israeli, that’s all…

The elections are tomorrow and in Kiryat Arba they’re encouraging people to vote for Marzel – the tomb of Baruch Goldstein, the murderer, has been moved beyond the fence...

The empty shops, the depressed people…and lunch at ‘Abed’s.

That’s it.  No photos today; only Assaf took pictures.
