'Anin, Barta'a-Reihan, Tura-Shaked
I return to the checkpoint after a few months' hiatus. Nothing has changed. A randomly pulled report from two or three years ago, or one from two months ago, and it would still be appropriate for today. Seven Anin, Eight Shaked, Nine Reihan. Changes and improvements for the benefit of the soldiers or even for those Palestinians who cross there.
But what next? Are we going to continue reporting for the next ten or fifteen years? Maybe not us but those who would follow in our footsteps.
I watched "Albert Einstein's visit to the Holy Land" - a 90-year-old documentary. :"If we won't find a way to have an understanding with the Arab people, who live alongside the Jews, we would be sentenced to years of conflict, a conflict which could push us into nationalism".
