Morning

Abu Dis (Pishpash)

We set off on a preparatory tour ahead of new guide-lines (there will be a separate report), which also became a shift of sorts.

Cliff Hotel

The place is abandoned.  What used to be a beautiful hotel has been left behind by the security forces in ruins. They didn't even bother to switch off the lights. The site is fenced and the gate locked.

Inside the courtyard an access road to the Kidmat Zion settlement (consisting, for the present, of two buildings), is paved.

The Pishpash next to the monastery

Locked and filthy.  No sign of opening for pilgrims or any other purpose.

The exit from Issawiya near Mount of Olives

Traffic blockage by means of large stones is still there.  Three border-policemen are sitting on the side of the road. We didn't see any pedestrians trying to cross.

The exit from Issawiya in the direction of French Hill

Metal barriers slow down the traffic, but there are no checks.

On the hill nearby, two soldiers (one male, one female) are sitting and observing, but they stop no one.
