Purpose of the workshop: Creative activity with Huda in Hashem el-Daraj preschool

Topic of the activity: Fruit and vegetables.  We brought a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables to the preschool.  Huda showed the produce to the children and conducted a short discussion about the various types.  We organized a game to classify the produce.  After the classification, we cut up the produce and gave it to the children to eat.  The children then colored and cut out pictures of fruit and vegetables.  They pasted them on circles of construction paper which were then strung on string to make mobiles.  Numbers of the children found cutting out the pictures difficult.  It was clear that they have not been proved much experience in the use of scissors.  Amna had taken the younger children to the other classroom for this activity so most of those remaining were 4-5 years old.
