Morning

09:00  We left from the Rosh Ha’ayin train station.

09:30  ‘Azzun women’s club.  Sarah began with a yoga class.  Nine women participated, a relatively large group.  Problems communicating (language).  Sarah demonstrates and explains in English; the women try to follow.  They have trouble understanding; that’s clear from how they’re performing the exercises.  Sarah wants to find an additional yoga teacher to help her.  That way they’ll be better able to work with the women individually.  The women are pleased with the class.  Sarah continues to Imatin with Nadim.  Dafna and Saraleh hold an introductory Hebrew class.  They laugh enjoyably at words similar in both languages.

10:00  Imatin.  A Hebrew class.  Nine women participate.  Reading and conversation.  The women are disappointed that problems obtaining permits may prevent their beach outing.  I promised to look into it.

11:30  Sarah arrives for the yoga class.  These women understand Sarah’s explanations in English very well and they work impressively.  Teacher and students enjoy themselves.

13:00  Back to ‘Azzun and then to Habla gate.

13:15  Habla gate is open; people cross quickly.  Laborers wait only a few minutes, are signaled to come through and disappear past the second gate.  A convoy of tractors, cars, a donkey cart, a horse cart – all cross without delay.

13:40  Back to the Rosh Ha’ayin train station.
