15:00 Tura-Shaked checkpoint

People come and go as usual. A resident of the West Bank requested to amend his passage permit at this checkpoint, something to do with the hours of passage. His permit indicated a wrong hour,  17:00– 15:00, instead of 05:00 – 17:00), This was done but later it was discovered that the old permit allowed passage of a vehicle as well and the new one ldid not. He pointed out the mistake right on the spot but the people on site demanded that he filled out a new request. This requires him to go to the Salem DCO, bringing papers and waiting in line….. So why not make this person run back and forth a little longer?

A couple with their son clean up the checkpoint, carrying garbage to the container that already overflows and no one knows who's responsible for clearing it. When we asked the cleaners they said, "It belongs to the Israelis…".

16:00 Barta'a-Rihan checkpoint

A new and improved checkpoint: The area to the left of the entrance is being expanded. the area will be fenced and a new trench will be dug. If anyone wants to know where does the money go to, they should come over and see the new works at the checkpoint. Nothing for the welfare of the Palestinians.

A large number of workers return home from work. Once again we hear complaints of difficulties in the morning at the Taibe passage. The extensive delays cause people a great deal of suffering.
