Afternoon

Habla agricultural gate.  The soldiers left in a military vehicle when we arrived 14:10

Eliyahu crossing.  Nothing noteworthy.

14:16  Izbet at Tabib.  No roadblock!  The protest tent stands in the center of the village.  It’s even heated but there’s no one inside.  A young resident told us the boulders and earth blocking the entrance had been removed an hour ago.

14:45 A military pickup truck is parked at the Qedumim settlement hitchhiking station.  A military jeep drives up to Yitzhar settlement.

Two soldiers stand at the hitchhiking station on the road up to Har Beracha settlement.

15:00  Huwwara.  The checkpoint isn’t manned.  There are no vehicles. One soldier in the guard tower.

15:10  Beit Dajan.  The gate is open.

Beit Furik.  The tower isn’t manned.

15:20 Two soldiers still guard the hitchhiking station on the way to Har Beracha settlement.

We were glad to see at the entrance to Burin and to Immatin signs in Arabic from posted by the state of Palestine!

16:00 A huge traffic jam between Huwwara and Za’tara.  We turned around and drove through the Qoza neighborhood, Jamma’in and Eibasan back to Highway 5.

16:50 At the traffic light up to Haris, beyond the guard rail on the right, a military Hummer was parked, two soldiers and a Palestinian next to it – talking?  Interrogation?
