Morning

The checkpoint was almost empty – and very filthy -when we arrived at 09:00.  A few people went quickly through the first revolving gate.  Only one lane was open.  The flow of people increased towards 09:30, as did the lines inside.  Despite the congestion no additional entrance was opened, and only two lanes were open within.  We tried to explain the problem to the police officer on site but he told us to contact the DCO.  A line of 50 people quickly formed at the entrance.  We called the DCO, which promised to deal with the problem.  The congestion eased towards 10:00 and after a few minutes there were only a few people in the outer crossing.
