The new wall reaches from the parking lot to near the bottom passage to Az-Za'ayyem. The breach in the barbed wire expands, serving those on their way to Jerusalem.
Does anyone still believe that the function of the wall is security?
Inside, the lines are short, almost no children.

In the pedestrian checkpoint, one male and one female soldier are entertaining themselves with their cell-phones; even their breakfast -- on full display -- fails to get their attention. Once in a while one of them raises his eyes and gestures towards the next in line to pass.
