Wadi Nar

The work of broadening the Wadi Nar road has begun at the bottom of the Wadi, on the road leading north to Al Ezariya.   The dangerous part is the steep slope south of the Wadi leading to Wadi Nar.  The purpose, it seems, is to broaden one road, then close the other and work on it.

The dogs in Wadi Nar change, but there are always at least six in the checkpoint area -- sometimes sleepy and sometimes barking wildly at the arrivals.  The soldiers say some have been taken away, the rest are strays who have adopted the checkpoint.

On our way back we stopped at the Olive Terminal on the Al Ezariya side.  We filmed the advancing wall and shook our heads at the dismal changes about to take place with the separation of traffic in E1.
