Qalandiya, Mon 14.1.13, Afternoon

We arrived at 16:00 and there were 5 people waiting at the DCO. I phoned the Moked to say that people there had been waiting for quite a while. A soldier from inside called me asking who I was and what I wanted. I explained that I was from Machsomwatch and that these people had to enter the waiting room. He said there was nothing he could do about it and I should phone the DCO which I did. I phoned both the DCO and the Moked and within 10 minutes they had been let through.

Qalandiya itself was very quiet. There had been an accident between a private car and a van on the Ramallah entrance but by the time we had parked, it seemed to have been solved….or not!

Suleiman said that he had been unable to work all last week because of the weather.  Two of the booths were open and there were no particular problems so we left at 5 pm.
