Morning

We’re submitting a strange report. A morning shift during which everything went as it should, considering what “as it should” entails at Qalandiya.

There was congestion, there was the unsightly pen for those waiting, there were armed soldiers facing children on their way to school.

We met a DCO officer and we met female soldiers and policewomen, none of whom had heard of Karin Avraham, the soldier who’d lost her voice at work and wasn’t allowed to receive treatment. The story has been in the news for a few days.

And the second interesting thing is that the soldiers serving with her never heard about her nor of her story.

It’s interesting that only we know why she lost her voice.
