Bethlehem (300), Tue 30.10.12, Morning

"Good morning," means that the wait is short, traffic is flowing, the humanitarian station is open and a smile is the testimony.

And so it was this morning.

One of the men was sent to Etzion’s DCL since the computer indicated that he is detained. None of those in charge spoke Arabic.  The police officer does not speak Arabic and he tells the man – Go to Etzion DCL. The woman soldier at the window gives the same advice. The man strives to understand, but they insist: the computer states so, go to Etzion. The man turned around. He lost another day of work without comprehending why and what for.
