Qalandiya, Sun 14.10.12, Morning
We arrived at 5.30 and although there were many people, the final count was around 2000, we felt that the 5 booths were working efficiently
The humanitarian gate should open at 6am and today was the day when there was some delay.
There was a woman with a baby about 6 months old on her way to hospital and we asked the workers in the line at the turnstile to let her go through and despite the long line we also asked the soldier to open the turnstile. The woman got through fast and we felt that this week, again, we failed to do away with the occupation and the checkpoints but we helped to defy with this one little "success".
