'Anata-Shu'afat, Abu Dis, Ras Abu Sbitan (Olive Terminal), Sheikh Saed, Thu 25.10.12, Morning
Rahel M., Michaela R. (reorting)
In general: very quiet, on the eve of the Feast of the Sacrifice.
6:05 Sheikh Saed
Only adults crossing. Passage is swift, without disturbance. The magnometer beeps incessantly, but it seems that the soldiers too are sick of the "checkpoint dance" (typical choreography: one step forward, beep, placing metal objects on the table, one step backward, split second pause, step forward, collect objects.)
We wondered whether there is any consistency in relations with the magnometer.
Few persons, fast crossing.
The transportation lot is empty. Sparse traffic in the pedestrian crossing, no lines and no delays.
What remain are piles of garbage which increase every week. It seems that no one bothers to clean even the floor of the building.
