Bethlehem (300), Etzion DCL, Thu 16.8.12, Afternoon
we were approached by a Palestinian physician who told us he represents Hadassah in Romania and had been invited to a meeting at Hadassah Ein Karem on Sunday. The Etzion DCL refused him an entry permit. After phone calls to people at Hadassah, and with the help of Chana B., he and his family received permits.
Young people who hadn’t received entry permits for the Friday holiday prayers in Jerusalem asked for our help.
Sharon, the officer, emerged, spoke with us and with them, showed understanding and good will and promised to issue permits to everyone who’d wait at the DCL until 5 PM and wasn’t on the blacklist. He promised, and kept his promise. He must have made many people happy, not only the young people who received permits but also their family members.
