Afternoon

Our shortest shift in 11 years.
:Etzion DCL
To begin with, there were 8 vehicles in the parking lot when we arrived, and there was no one in the clean and air-conditioned waiting room . Two persons left just when we arrived, within a few minutes more arrived and left.

A father and son from Hirbet Zecharya, they too came out quickly and we spoke with them. They have a trading permit for six months and had come to renew their magnetic cards: 60 shekels for renewal, 45 for stamps, 15 for the application. The father spoke excellent Hebrew, and presented his view of life in rhyming couplets.

We stayed briefly, and inspected the spotless toilets; the Palestinian liaison car was outside, and everything looked ready for the weekend ahead.

We had left Kiryat Yovel at 13:25 and were back at 15:20.

It appears that requests are transferred by the Palestinian to the Israeli liaisons, so that the number of persons arriving at the DCL is very small, and today while we were there not a single unusual medical case arrived
.
