Reihan-Barta'a Checkpoint – 06:00

Things are routine.  Workers walk contentedly up the sleeveinfo-icon and get into waiting cars.

Shaked-Tura Checkpoint – 07:00

The checkpoint is being refurbished.  The concrete barriers leading to the inspection facility have been taken down and there are rolls of fencing and piles of supplies in the area.

The checkpoint opens at 07:05.   About 30 people on the West Bank side crowd into the area in front of the turnstile, making a commotion.  Evidently there is an argument about who is first in line.   Only two teachers and an old man with a donkey cross into the seamline zone.

07:10 - The school children cross from the seamline zone without being checked.  5 cars with passengers cross through, and the passengers go through the inspection facility.  One car arrives from the West Bank.

At 07:15 things near the turnstile calm down.  People from the West Bank begin to cross into the seamline zone.

We left early to take Ali to Rambam Hospital.
