Mevo Dotan (Imriha), Reihan, Shaked, Sun 25.3.12, Afternoon
15:00 –Shaked-Tura checkpoint
Sparse traffic. People cross over quickly and so do vehicles. "Mafish Muskilla" (no problem), says the school's headmaster, who arrived at the checkpoint with his wife, following a short conversation with the commander on site.
15:50 – Mevoh Dotan
We stopped for a moment in Amricha, where we left a bag of cloths and continued to the checkpoint.
Two soldiers allow the car into the A zone with a hand wave. They peek into cars w hich arrive from the other side.
We drove in the direction of Mevoh Dotan to see the spring blooms and tried reaching the Dotan valley farm, but the trip was too long and so we returned.
There were women and children on their way home from their work in the fields.
16:15 – Reihan-Barta'a
The lower car park is full. 9 loaded trucks wait on the road for tomorrows' morning inspection. At the post before the exit to the Seam Line zone they refused answering at what time the trucks' inspection ends and referred us to the passage administration and while at it…. Inspected our trunk.
We went down to the terminal on the side of the Seam Line. There were 3 workers inside the sleeve busy installing infrastructure for the shed that would finally protect people from the wind and rain in the winter and the brutal summer sun.
Passage is swift: "Kulo tamam" (all is well).
