Qalandiya, Mon 20.2.12, Morning
06:30 the check point is almost empty. About 30 people pass through each sleeve and there is hardly a five minute waiting time.
The humanitarian gate is closed, but as soon as we ask why it gets opened and stays that way .
Some women and pupils prefer the regular sleeves since they seem faster.
I notice that the place gets sweeped more often, but the passers through don't mind dirtying again right away.
Across the road the blue i.d. c.p. has a bit of a line, but our guest, an American girl, called Kate, who photographs places
which have dividing walls or fences i.e. Ireland, Cyprus. etc. said it only took her 5 min. to get through with the Palestinian bus.
We hope it stays this way and there won't be any regressions, untill the occupation is over, soon!
