Bruqin

We met with the director of the Kufr alDik women’s club.  She told us that yesterday the army entered Beita and set up a checkpoint, an elderly man who went through was beaten by the soldiers and detained until the evening, and the soldiers forced another man to undress and left him that way from the morning until the afternoon.

In Haris we met with a Palestinian who gave us documents for Sylvia; we wish him luck.

There were no unusual incidents elsewhere.  The streets were mostly empty; toward afternoon more people were about, primarily pupils returning home from school.
