'Anata, Qalandiya, Thu 27.10.11, Morning

Judy E. and Sheila B. (reporting)

We arrived at 6:05 am at Qalandiya.  At 6:00 am more soldiers had come  on duty and only 2 X-ray machines were operational until fifteen minutes later when the 5 machines were operational, allowing a more efficient and even traffic flow. It seems that good will could be extended if these machines had opened even 5 mintues earlier.  The humanitarian gate was moving smoothly.

Arriving at Anata an hour later, we note once again that the new terminal remains under construction and the children who must cross through the unmarked traffic remain in a perilous situation.
