Morning
Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300 (Rachel’s Crossing):   many vehicles outside.  Within five booths are open and the flow of people streams through.  They’re pleased, saying that today is better than yesterday.

At 07:00 the number of booths was reduced to 4, and ten minutes later the fifth reopened.

We noticed that not everyone presents their crossing permit, and the soldier in the booth lets them through based on what the computer shows.  I don’t know whether it’s a new system or a one-time event.  It certainly speeds up the crossing and makes it easier on those going through.

We left at 07:30.
