Morning

Arrived at Qalandiya at 6:20 A Mfollowed by a visit to Anata an hour later.

In both places we observed that  the pedestrian crossings were moving rapidly; however, the crossings for vehicular traffic were slow.

Sadly, the  new 4 lane crossing remains unfinished at Anata which accounts for the consistently slow traffic movement.

The crossing of the school children in Anata remains hazardous.  As a result of the situation, the children lack any supervision when they must cross the Machsom to arrive at the area where they board buses. Apparently the company which has been contracted to work on this situation lacks personnel, leaving the youngsters with no protection – no street markings and no lights.
