Bethlehem – Checkpoint 300, 6:45 am:  as we approach the CP there is almost no one outside. Two buses are waiting for passengers. Inside three checking stations open.  However, very few people are passing.Today is Id Al Fitr, a holiday for Moslems.Those who are entering Jerusalem are Christians.

Matak  Etzion DCL, 8:30 am:  about 20 people are waiting for service. Those who need a permit are invited in. The others who need a magnetic card are not.  When we inquire, we are told that there is a problem with the computer. Nobody knows when it will be fixed.
