0725 00800 Tura-Shaked checkpoint

On the way to the checkpoint, three beautiful horses walk without their owner walk  leisurely on the high way. We arrive at the checkpoint at the same tome.

The checkpoint is almost vacant at this time of day, but shortly after, lively traffic resumes on both sides. Traffic streams without delays.

0810 - 0900 Reihan-Barta'a checkpoint

Taxi drivers had spread a shadowing shed over the "Play ground" near them.

The huge roof that was built attached to the vehicles' inspection facility is still bare.

The cab park area is filled, a sign of delays inside the terminal.

And sure enough, those coming out report of a waiting period of 60-90 minutes at the terminal, and of many people  stuck inside.

We tried calling Sharon, the terminal manager but today there is absolutely no reception of  cellular telephones.

Only one window is open but it appears as if the delay is at the inner inspection cabins rather than at the window.

 

Traffic from the Seam line zone into the West Bank is quick, but on the opposite side the load is tremendous.
