09:00 Shaked-Tura Checkpoint
On the way to the checkpoint we saw a notice for a house being sold at the settlement of Hinanit with a spectacular view.

There were only a few people crossing at the checkpoint in either direction.   One driver showed us two slips of paper that had been written by a female soldier.  The first one was written on his way to the West Bank and said "Here was" and other on the way back said "Here was a tragedy."  The driver of course could not read the notes and did not understand the joke.

10:00 Reihan Barta'a Checkpoint
Work is being done on the road from the junction to the checkpoint and reflectors are being placed on the separation lines.  There was a fatal accident a year ago in which children from Mevo Dotan and a Palestinian tractor driver were killed.  במחסום עוברים לברטעה המזרחית אנשים מהגדה שעובדים A few people crossed to the West Bank and trucks with produce were about to be checked.  The checkpoint routine continues.

We left at 11:00 and wondered if what was going on around us has any effect on us.
