Morning

We arrived at Qalandiya at 6:30 A M. Probably because of the cold and wet weather, the crossing was almost NEARLY empty. The soldiers were considerate and helpful. One SOLDIER explained that most of the soldiers were new to the job of processing people and therefore, the lines inside were moving more slowly than usual.

We proceeded to Anata, where the lines were long but moving efficiently. Construction at the new crossing has been slow and the roads remain full of dangerous poholes. The children must still cross the busy intersection to get to the bus stop.
