14.09 The Shomron crossing.  A police car stands next to the entrance to the checkpoint. We were not checked.

14.13 An army Hummer goes up to the lookout next to Azzun.

On road 55 workers are working on the road signs. We waited twice for the sign to go on. Many army vehicles on the road.

14.47 Huwwara  checkpoint.  The sentry towers are manned.

To our surprise we did not see soldiers at the posts at the entrance and exit of the checkpoint.

We were told that lately there have been no soldiers manning the posts for a few hours. After that we saw that the rejoicing was premature.

14.54 Checkpoint of Beit Furik.A soldier in the sentry tower.

Cars were not checked.

15.08We went back to the Huwwara checkpoint. The entrance to Nablus was manned and soldiers with their weapons at the ready were checking nearly every small van that went through. Sometimes the vans were sent to the side of the road and sometimes stopped on the main road and so the pressure built up.

16.03 Checkpoint of Za’tara.  Soldiers manned one post. Cars pass without being stopped (when we passed there).

16.24 Shomron crossing.A quick check of cars going into Israel.

16.27 Checkpoint of Azzun Atma.  Workers are coming home for their work on the settlements for the weekend. While we were at the checkpoint we did not see much pressure in the checking of cars.
