Tue 19.10.10, Morning

06:15-06:30 am, Bethlehem – Checkpoint 300:  we were unable to access the checkpoint. All the passage ways were blocked. We found out that today was a special visiting day at Rachel's tomb and therefore the road to Bethlehem had been blocked, closing off the checkpoint. Neither could we approach it from Giloh nor from Har-Homa. Scores of vehicles were parked along the route and the crowds were on their way on foot.
