Morning

6:45 am, Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300: many people are waiting outside.  Short lines with a constant flow.  Four checking stations open.

At 7:15 an Israeli army officer, C,  introduces himself to us, says he is in charge of Alex, humanitarian soldier.  He is very friendly. We point out to him that one checking station is not open because of the computer.  He quickly puts the soldier in another booth. That didn't seem to work, and soon a technnician came to see if he could get the computer working. One of the security guards helped people to enter Bethlehem. At 7:40 am all the  people have passed through.  It has been many weeks since we have witnessed this.

8:00 am, Etzion DCL:  the soldiers came to open the DCL at 8:03 am.  About 30 men are waiting.  Everyone is looking to renew his ID.
