Afternoon

Beitar Checkpoint, 3pm: At Hanna's behest we visited the CP. It turns out that it is vehicle passage only, and that no Palestinians can pass it towards Israel in a vehicle. Passage is limited to Israeli plates (though we saw a couple of Palestinian vehicles passing; apparently they can go, by specail arragement, only as far as the nearby gas station, about 150 meters away, which is the Green Line. So really this CP is similar to other CPs that prevent Palestinian passage, rather than controlling and regulating it. Therefore MW does not monitor this kind of CP.

Etzion DCL: empty when we arrive. A few people later show up, and are

admitted quickly.

Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300: no queues, and we timed passage at under a minute.
