Morning
When we arrived at 6:30am, we were told by the Ecumenical observers
that the gates had been closed from 5:30-6 for unknown reasons.
Approximately 300 people were waiting for the gates to reopen and when
they did, it was busy, averaging about 700 people per hour.
The humanitarian gate was busy. While the official closing time is
7:30am, when a very ill man came a few minutes late, it was temporarily
reopened. The lack of seats for the ill and elderly remains a big
problem.
Good to report that there are now larage, new signs in both Arabic and
Hebrew which indicate the hours for services including the Matak,
Bituach Leumi, and others.
We left at 7:40am
