Afternoon

Etzion DCL, 15:00 PM: parking lot emptyexcept for 2 cars, the waiting hall completely vacant. We manage to get theattention of the soldier behind the turnstiles and he greets us with a waiveand a smile. Since the communication problem has not been solved yet (foralmost two months) he can hear us but those in the waiting hall fail to hearhim, he answers our questions (gladly) in sign language. Inside the office thereare only 3 people, and it has been like this all day

Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300, 15:30 PM: four stations are manned, very few people going through in both directions. It is still early. Towards 16:00, more laborers rush in, but still they go through very quickly. At one point there were quite a lot of them outside the hall, and of their own accord, very dutifully, they formed two lines before going in.
