Afternoon
16:00 Anabta
No soldiers. The vehicles were passing freely.
A lone young Palestinian woman stood by the side of the road waiting for a ride. Nadim picked her up and we drove her into Shufa.

16:20  Irtach
As we drove into the parking lot we could see a large crowd of workers waiting outside the turnstile, while many more workers were running toward the gate. When we approached the gate the line was already moving. The green light above the turnstile was on all the time. Is it possible that when those in charge of this passage see the Machsom Watch women arriving they quickly add more workers and open more windows???

There was only one door into the hall open so we couldn't see how many windows for checking the workers' ID cards were open, but while we were there the line moved very quickly. When we could see into the hall it looked as though 2-3 windows were working. A few women were among the workers. One young woman, wearing modern clothes, said that there should be a separate line for the women, and asked us to request that in our report.
