Afternoon

2.30 Za'tara. No soldiers at the checkpoint. In the middle of the circle at the crossroads is one soldier in a very small post which is closed in with sandbags and a pointed rifle.

3 semi-trailers each of which has a caravan  past at the this moment through the crossroads in the direction of the settlement of Tapuah. They go through the gate in front of the settlement and stop there. According to the symbols and the colours it seems that these are military caravans  which were stationed there and not to enlarge the settlement.

3.00 Huwwara. In the direction of Nablus cars were being checked especially those with Israeli numbers. But buses in the direction of Huwwara were also checked and the ID of the drivers.

3.30 At Deir Sharaf (Barrels) there were no soldiers.

3.35 Anabta.  We saw soldiers close to the post but cars were not checked.

3.45 Jubara. Women soldiers ask to check Nadim's documents. They could not understand at all why we first tried to show ours.

3.50 Irtah. When we got there 80 workers were waiting but at that very moment three posts open and the queue disappeared. At 4.00  One post was closed but even though another queue immediately formed they did not wait more than 4-5 minutes. This was the first time that we heard no complaints about the morning wait. Was it only by chance?
