Bethlehem, Fri 15.1.10, Morning

Bethlehem Checkpoint 300:  two inspection stations areopen, and although many people pass through, a long queue doesn’t build-upbecause the inspections are performed quickly and efficiently.   We don’t see any cases of people not beingallowed to pass, and many Palestinians go though with small children.

Only one complaint is passedto us, relating to the Palestinain side of the checkpoint : a Christian  man and his grown-up son, Egyptians who livein Bethlehem,who have to leave their young son, aged 15, behind because they have forgottenhis permit at home.
